I'm not a tour guide and not a company. I'm a regular local who lives, works and walks by the lake every day. I can show you the real, everyday China — tell me what you need, and if I can do it, I will.

About me

I was born and raised in Hangzhou, a city in east China. Like most people here, I spend my days with simple things: riding the metro, buying breakfast at the corner shop, drinking Longjing tea, complaining about the rain. If you're curious what life in China is actually like, just ask a local — that's me.

• What I can do for you — collect videos about daily life in China, film local customs and folklore on-site in Hangzhou, or simply answer anything about living here.
• How it works — you tell me what you need, I tell you roughly how long it takes (I charge $50/hour), you pay, and I deliver. Simple as that.
• Why me — I'm not a tour company. I'm a real local who walks the streets every day, so you get the genuine, unscripted China.

About Hangzhou, in plain words

• West Lake (西湖) — a calm lake in the middle of the city. Free, beautiful, and full of locals walking at sunset.
• Food — Dongpo pork, Beggar's chicken, long noodles. Cheap, fresh, and everywhere.
• Tea — Longjing (Dragon Well) green tea grows in the hills just outside the city.
• Easy life — phone pays for everything, shared bikes, fast metro, high-speed trains to most of China.
• A tech city — Alibaba started here; the whole city runs on apps.
• Friendly people — curious, helpful, and happy to say hi to a foreigner.
